GENERAL SECURITY AND BAG POLICIES

Patrons should leave at home or in their car any prohibited items and bring only what you need in an approved clear bag, wallet or wristlet when you visit the theatre. This helps to efficiently improve the safety of all patrons and work to get our large crowds into the theatre before show time.

Please make sure you arrive early to the venue. We recommend being at the exterior doors for security screenings at least 30-45 minutes prior to show-time which means you should look to arrive and park at least 45-60 minutes prior to show time.

Only wristlets or wallets up to 4" x 6" x 1" or clear bags up to 12" x 12" x 6" are permitted and will be inspected by our security team. This policy will be enforced.

The following items are prohibited in the Scranton Cultural Center and patrons will be turned back to their cars at security screenings if prohibited items are brought to the theatre. Please check your pockets in pants/coats to ensure you do not miss the performance due to bringing one of these items:

Please have your pockets empty and coats open for inspection by our team prior to approaching them.

Smoking materials including lighters, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, matches or other flammable items, e-cigarettes and vaping materials are prohibited inside the building, patrons will be turned away and may miss the performance if they are brought to the venue.

**There is no re-entry to the venue once you have entered and gone through our security inspection. Should you leave and exit the building you will not be readmitted.**

There is generally a seating hold for most performances, meaning that if you have not arrived at your seat prior to the published curtain time you will be held in the lobby until the house manager is allowed to seat you so as not to disturb the performance. In some cases, this may be 10-15 minutes or even until the intermission break as per the performance agreements. To avoid missing any of the performance, leave yourself enough time to arrive, park, gain access through security and ticket checkpoints to find your seats.

Other security measures vary per event.

The Center is a SMOKE FREE facility. NO smoking materials, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, lighters, matches or other flammable items may be brought into the Center.
