The three-time Pollstar nominated Disney Junior tour is back with Disney Junior Live On Tour: Costume Palooza! This show brings beloved Disney Junior characters and favorite Marvel Super Heroes live on stage for a jam-packed, concert-style show with singing, dancing, acrobatics, and more. It will feature favorite songs from hit Disney Junior series, as well as new original music. Mickey, Minnie, and their pals are getting ready to throw a huge costume party, but mysterious green rain, wind, and smoke keeps interrupting the fun. Can Spidey and his Amazing Friends help save the Costume Palooza? Join us for the World Premiere of a work commissioned by WVIA to commemorate the 50th anniversaries of both the NEPA Philharmonic and WVIA. Palma is a charming composition that reimagines the magical folktale of a young Italian violinist. The music by composer Dr. Paul Salerni and text by Dana Gioia
is narrated by WVIA’s legendary Erika Funke. Assisted by the Abington Heights chorus and orchestra, Palma celebrates the power of music and the beauty of friendship, loyalty, and love. The concert will also include Rossini’s thrilling William Tell Overture, and Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony, an exhilarating and light-hearted piece that takes us on a journey through the rolling hills of Italy. Justin Willman wants to melt your brain while making you laugh. He’s best known as the star and creator of the hit Netflix series Magic For Humans. But you may recognize him from one of his many television appearances (The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Ellen, Conan…). Or maybe you know his work as a host (Baking Impossible; Cupcake Wars; Win, Lose or Draw…). Or maybe he’s the child magician you hired in suburban St. Louis in the ‘90s. If you don’t know Justin, he’s a magician and comedian who’s mastered the art of turning cynics into believers (or at least getting them to laugh). His live show is simultaneously mind-blowing and hilarious, and will likely keep you up at night wondering how the heck any of it was possible.
