The road to success has been a steady climb for Swardson. He first found success by writing Malibu’s Most Wanted for Warner Brothers and by featuring in the hit Comedy Central series RENO 911. After catching the attention of Happy Madison Productions, he quickly became a fixture in the company, writing or co-writing and producing such projects as Grandma’s Boy, Benchwarmers, and co-producing I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Adam Sandler and Kevin James. Nick has performed in movies such as That’s My Boy, Blades of Glory, 30 Minutes or Less, and Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, which he wrote, starred in, and produced. His first CD/DVD, Party, on Comedy Central Records (produced by Happy Madison) went platinum. He followed that up in 2010 with his first one-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central, Seriously who Farted.

In addition to his career in film and in the world of stand-up comedy, Nick continues to have a prolific career in television. His Comedy Central sketch show, Pretend Time with Nick Swardson ran from 2010 to 2012, and he voiced the role of ‘Troy’ on FXX’s animated show, Chozen. Most recently, Nick starred as ‘Gary’ in Typical Rick on Comedy Central streaming.

His Comedy Central Special, Taste It! premiered April 2015 on Comedy Central. Nick co-starred in the animated film Hell And Back with TJ Miller, Bob Odenkirk, and Mila Kunis. Nick also co-starred in the most-watched movie on Netflix to date, The Ridiculous 6 starring Adam Sandler and Will Forte. More recently he co-starred in Sandler’s second film for Netflix The Do-Over starring Adam Sandler and David Spade.

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo KIDS brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

The Lightning Thief

As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. Adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure “worthy of the gods.”

Event Seating is reserved by seat location only, Held in the Weinberg Theatre of the Scranton Cultural Center. The Seating chart reflects the general layout for this event, but specific seat locations are subject to change.

 

Due to the nature of live event bookings all performances, dates, times and prices are subject to change without notice.

Buyer Beware: If you purchase tickets from a non-authorized person or outlet, you risk purchasing a lost, stolen or fake ticket that is not valid for admittance, regardless of the event. Only valid tickets will scan to authorize entry for an event. Lost or stolen tickets may be deactivated and thus will not be valid for entry. Anyone who purchases tickets from a “scalper,” ticket broker, or online secondary merchant other than Ticketmaster.com does so at their own risk and in most cases is paying a premium.

When you visit the theatre, our first priority is your care and safety. To that end, please be aware in advance of increased security measures for all events at our Theatre. Backpacks, oversized bags, outside food and beverage, and weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, are not permitted in the building. Also, upon entry, bags and coats must be open and ready for inspection by our security team. Thank you for your cooperation!

The following items are PROHIBITED in the Center:
Purses, bags, coolers, backpacks, over-sized bags, bottles, cans and glass containers, outside food or beverages, horns, whistles, banners, noisemakers, laser pens, cameras, video cameras, or recording devices, illegal substances, weapons or any other threatening objects.

Please DO NOT bring into the building large bags, purses, backpacks, large umbrellas longer than 12″, outside food or drink.

Wristlets up to 4″ x 6″ x 1″ or Clear Bags up to 12″ x 12″ 6″ are permitted

Clear Bags may be checked for every event.

Other security measures vary per event.

The Center is a SMOKE FREE facility. NO smoking materials, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, lighters, matches or other flammable items may be brought into the Center.

There is no Re-Entry upon Exit for most concert events.

Cameras and recording devices are prohibited.
