Global Tastes of Scranton: April 7, 2019 – 5:00 PM
Share in the culture and cuisine of Bhutan and Nepal!

Some ​of ​the ​newer ​Scrantonians ​are ​members ​of ​the ​Bhutanese ​refugee ​community ​of ​Nepali ​origin. ​They ​will ​create ​a ​”pop-up ​restaurant” ​sharing ​their ​home ​cuisine ​and ​traditions. ​

A ​sampling ​of ​authentic ​fare ​from ​Momo ​King ​and ​Nepali ​Kitchen ​in ​cooperation ​with ​Terra ​Preta ​Prime ​will ​be ​served, ​including ​momos, ​chawmin, ​samosas, ​and ​traditional ​datshi ​curry.

This ​event ​will ​also ​include ​highlights ​of ​Bhutanese-Nepali ​culture, ​with ​special ​music ​and ​performances. ​A ​cash ​bar ​will ​be ​available.

Proceeds will benefit refugee support activities of Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton and Global Tastes partners.
