Casting Workshops for A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS – an SCC Youth Theatre Program Production

Adapted from the three-time-Tony-nominated Broadway hit comes A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS. Based on Arnold Lobel’s well-loved books, the jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with melody. Part vaudeville, part make-believe, and all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Wednesday Addams, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family–a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before–keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Keep the Arts UNDEAD in Scranton!

Thrill the World is a global fundraising event, held on the same date/time around the world in attempt to break the World Record for the “Largest Simultaneous Dance to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller!'” Sign up TODAY to be a zombie dancer and participate in one of the most exciting events in Scranton!

All proceeds benefit the Scranton Cultural Center!

Day of the Event:
The event will be held OUTSIDE of the Scranton Cultural Center, located at 420 N. Washington Avenue in Scranton, PA. We will convene beginning at 5:00 PM. On the day of the event, participants are encouraged to come in their best zombie or Halloween inspired look, but it’s not required. You’ll check in with the SCC team (for reporting purposes) and we’ll have a few opportunities to practice the dance before the official world record attempt. The dance will be live-streamed on the Scranton Cultural Center Facebook page, so please encourage family and friends to cheer you on from home.
