Little Dragon Playhouse: Session 4 (IN-PERSON)
Under the Sea, August 2-6

Little Dragon Campers and their new theatre pals will be making waves during this nautical camp session!  Throughout the week, our young performers will become more confident performers and artists as they work together to create a showcase performance and art projects inspired by our favorite underwater creatures, characters, music and more!

SHOWCASE: Friday, August 6; Art show at 1 PM, Performance at 1:30 PM in Shopland Hall on the 4th Floor

SummerStage: Session 2 (IN-PERSON)
Musical Theatre Boot Camp, August 2-6

SummerStage performers will develop some seriously impressive skills at our annual Musical Theatre Boot Camp!  During this session, campers will work with professional theatre artists to explore playwriting, specialized acting and vocal techniques, various dance styles and more!  Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned performer, this session offers exciting new experiences in the world of musical theatre!  All experience levels are welcome!

SHOWCASE: Friday, August 6 at 3:00 PM on the Main Stage!

Little Dragon Playhouse Campers will develop their skills as artists and get creative with friends during these interactive, virtual sessions. During each week-long session, campers will participate in a daily arts-based workshop based on the theme of the week! Teaching artists will lead campers through games, exercises and activities in the arts areas of Theatre, Dance, Music and Visual Arts!  At the end of every exciting week, we will celebrate with a Theme Day, including games, trivia and of course, themed attire is encouraged! Upon registering and submitting payment, all participants will receive invitations and instructions for joining the virtual classes. All necessary supplies for weekly projects and activities will be provided by the SCC.  Arrangements for supply pack pick-up or delivery will be made prior to the start date of each session!

Little Dragon Playhouse: Session 5 (IN-PERSON)
Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS, August 9-20

Little Dragon campers will have even more room to grow during this TWO WEEK camp session!  Campers will work together to rehearse and present the scripted 30-minute musical, Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs before Dark KIDS!  In addition to performing in the show, campers will help make costumes, scenery and props for the production!

ABOUT THE SHOW:  Siblings, Jack and Annie, discover a tree house full of books while exploring one afternoon. Jack looks through a book about dinosaurs and wishes he could see a real one. Suddenly, the wind begins to blow and the tree house starts to spin wildly. When it finally stops, Jack and Annie open their eyes to find they have been transported back to the time of the dinosaurs.  Jack and Annie have a harrowing adventure, befriending some dinosaurs along the way as they try to make their way back home.

SHOWCASE: Friday, August 20 at 1:30 PM in Shopland Hall on the 4th Floor, This production will be available to stream after the show!

Godspell, Jr., August 9-21

Your talented musical theatre lovers will not want to miss this powerful performance opportunity! The original Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award-winner, Stephen Schwartz, and it took the world by storm!  Boasting a score with chart-topping songs, Godspell Jr. is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.

ABOUT THE SHOW! A group of friends share different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, are employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life!

TWO PERFORMANCES + STREAMING! Friday, August 20 at 7 PM and Saturday, August 21 at 11 AM on the Main Stage! This production will be available to stream after the show!
