It is the mission of The Scranton Cultural Center Youth Theatre Program to provide a quality education in the performing and visual arts to young children and teens in an environment that honors achievement, creativity and personal growth. Our goal is to nurture and inspire a lifelong love and appreciation of the arts by engaging youth in enriching theatrical opportunities. The SCCYTP offers opportunities for local youths to participate in educational opportunities including performances, workshops and of course our annual Summer Camp Program!

Located in the Lower Level, the Raymond Hood Room is transformed into a listening room café where artists and their work are respected and supported. This very special space is named after the architect who designed the Scranton Cultural Center in the 1920s. Hood is widely known for his Art Deco and Neo Gothic design style which is evident throughout the entire building. Nationally recognized works include 30 Rockefeller Plaza, American Radiator Building, Daily News, The Emporis, Tribune Tower and The Ocean Forest Hotel in Myrtle Beach among others.
Doors open at 5:00 PM and entertainment starts at 6:00 PM!

Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Buy Local Spring Fling and will be accepted through February 17. The event will feature approximately 75 vendors spanning over four floors and is set for Saturday, April 7 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please be advised:

This is a juried application process, so application does not guarantee acceptance.

Any vendor selling food MUST submit the application for proper permitting from the city of Scranton if you have not already done so.
All applications received will be held until the end of the application window and then reviewed to determine acceptance.
Applicants should expect final confirmation the end of February. Anyone who is not accepted or is wait-listed will receive an email explaining this. Anyone who is not accepted will have their check returned to them.
