The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple is committed to doing all that it can to safeguard the health and well-being of patrons, staff and the community. As the region's largest and most active indoor facility for culture and entertainment this task is demanding.

Novel coronavirus (COVID-19), is something none of us take lightly.  The team at the Cultural Center is seeking to minimize any unwelcome transmission of germs by requiring enhanced cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing protocols and heightened monitoring of anyone who might have come into contact or exposed to COVID-19, especially in common areas and public restrooms.

As we do our part, we ask that our patrons, too, take necessary precautions and follow guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.  Please be mindful of everyone’s health and safety – your own as well as those around you.  If you are compromised by an existing health condition, if you are not feeling well, or exhibiting symptoms of illness, please do not attend an event here.

Parents and guardians of students in our Youth Theatre and after-school programs are encouraged to monitor their children’s health and not to send them to activities if they are displaying signs of illness.  We look forward to welcoming everyone who is ill once they are feeling better!

We will continue to monitor the situation locally, throughout the region, and around the state through and shall take whatever actions we deem in the best interests of our patrons, our staff and the community as a whole.

We assure you that we are very carefully and seriously monitoring the situation as well as government recommendations, and will evaluate the status of upcoming events on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, we are in close communication with all organizations who have events planned here at the Scranton Cultural Center. Please monitor our website and social media for announcements of any additional postponements or cancellations.
