War Bonds: Songs & Letters of World War II
February 27 10:00 AM & 7:00 PM Discovery! Family FunTime Series Shopland Hall $7/$13
A musical journey through a war that redefined the world. The multi-media living history cabaret is interspersed with personal letters from the front and headline news of the period. The production is a warm reminiscence and a harrowing reminder of a time when the whole world seemed upside down. Actual veterans’ stories create a sentimental journey back through the days when black-outs and rationing were a small sacrifice in order to obtain freedom. A time when Rosie the Riveter discovered she could take care of herself; a time when African -Americans, who were segregated at home, integrated abroad to became heroes; and when a man’s only wish was to be home for Christmas. War Bonds explores the dark side of war and the strange juxtaposition of the light hearted, popular tines of the time.

Saw Doctors
March 11 7:00 PM Grand Ballroom $31.50
The hook-laden sounds of 1960s rock bands like the Beatles and the Byrds and the working-class imagery of Bruce Springsteen are combined with the musical traditions of Ireland and the intensity of punk rock by the Saw Doctors. The Saw Doctors were a little-known local bar band in Tuam (pronounced "Chewam") in County Galway when they were invited by Mike Scott to be the opening act on the Waterboys' 1988 tour of Ireland and the United Kingdom. In the decade since, however, the Saw Doctors have emerged as the most successful Irish rock band since U2. The Washington Post referred to the Saw Doctors as "one of the world's most appealing roots rock outfits."

Billy B. presents the beauty, abundance and complexity of the biodiversity all around us and in specific habitats worldwide, (coral reefs, old growth forest, soil.)

Uncanny vocal recreations, unbridled hilarity, and a swingin' live big-band send audiences straight to the coolest time in history, with all-time hits such as "Come Fly with Me," "That's Amore", "Mr. Bojangles," and much, much more!
The Ant and the Grasshopper
March 29 11:00 AM Children’s Series Shopland Hall $13
A frivolous fiddle playing Grasshopper completely exasperates the hard-working Ant throughout the course of an entire year. A singing Caterpillar, a whacky Squirrel, and a high-strung Bird (puppet) round out the cast of creatures who live their entire annual life cycles in the colorful little forest clearing on stage. Original music by Artistic Director Ric Averill enhances the company's celebration of the cycle of the seasons. A big, bountiful and beautiful set gradually strips away to become only the Ant's warm underground hole as winter closes on the frivolous Grasshopper.
