The Scranton Civic Ballet’s 23rd annual production of The Nutcracker, under the artistic direction of Miss Helen Gaus, is being held December 11th and 13th at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple. Unique to Civic Ballet, their production showcases all 75 of their company dancers, ages 8 to 21 years of age, all residents of northeastern Pennsylvania, in a breathtakingly professional holiday production! This grand setting offers relaxed reserved seating and the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent production that portrays the childhood joy of Christmas Eve, the elegance of our accomplished dancers and the artistry of our professionals. Once again the Civic Ballet is offering our “family four-pack”, buy 3 get one free, so all may enjoy the artistry of our production.
In honor of the community, Civic Ballet is holding a food pantry drive at their performances. They are asking every attendee to donate a food item as they enter the theatre. The Ballet Company will distribute the collected items to St. Francis Soup Kitchen, United Neighborhood Services and Friends of the Poor.
