\nJames Barrett’s “before” looks a lot like yours. After releasing his debut LP The Price of Comfort\, the Scran ton singer-songwriter moved onto his next planning phase\, stuck between e ras labeled by plaintive acoustic tracks and the ringing clarity of a full -band effort. In October 2019\, Barrett began writing what would become hi s sophomore record. It’s a love letter to the hushed splendor of The Natio nal and the spaced-out bombast of Angels & Airwaves\, embellished with a t heatrical identity boosted by live strings\, horns\, and good friend Amand a Rogan lending vocals to many moments. Barrett intends to release the rec ord later in 2021.
\n\nHarmony
Woods has always been about dynamics. When this Philly project began a
\nregional rail stop away\, Sofia Verbilla wrote songs about the ways p
eople see each other on either end of disaster. Across two records that sp
oke to the quietest of bleeding hearts\, Verbilla expanded on processing g
rief\, trauma\, and other aftermaths while her band climbed and collapsed
around her\, turning ordinary circumstances into visceral reflections.
\nGRACEFUL RAGE—the band’s third LP—basks in the sheer magnitude of lett
ing
\nrevelations and recoveries blossom on their own terms. Produced
by Bartees Strange\, it’s an extension of trademarks and an exploration o
f new ground. Verbilla often lets moments stack and shiver like a wobbly h
ouse of cards\, and the sparse vocal-led freeze of opener “Good Luck Rd.”
continues that trusted thread. But it’s in the explosive nuance of tracks
like “God’s Gift to Women\,” a smoky and jagged pop-punk sneer\, where Har
mony Woods jets far from their most comfortable alcoves. What’s found in t
his growth is resolve and power\, snug behind a radio-ready punch.
\n
Across stopovers in pop-country’s swaying embrace (“Rittenhouse”)\, tear-s
tained calls for absolution (“Easy”)\, and the lockstep of booming percuss
ion (“Holding You to You”)\, GRACEFUL RAGE regains footholds on forgotten
pathways\, shouldering the pain but destroying the doubt that smolders in
its wake. It’s Harmony Woods at their most aware and assured\, where tower
ing relief and welcome confidence have finally converged..
A Fire With Friends
have been independently recording\, producing\, and
\nperforming thei
r unique mix of indie-rock\, math-rock\, and alternative music
\nfor
over a decade. Together the six-piece NEPA band have toured the
\neas
t coast and midwest\, sharing the stage with both local and national
\nacts.

\nThe English rock group Queen is an icon ic sensation stacking up 18 number one albums\, 18 number one singles and is one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Their performance at 19 85’s Live Aid is regarded as one of the greatest in rock history. The mus ic of Queen continues to inspire generations of young and old fans through their infectious rock songs played in numerous films (Revenge of The Nerds\, Highlander\, Wayne’s World\, High Fidelity\, A Knight’s Tale\, Iro n Man 2\, and Academy Award winning movie Bohemian Rhapsody) and the Broadway musical We Will Rock You.
\nThis year ma rks the 48th anniversary of Queen’s first international hit\, < em>Bohemian Rhapsody\, which gave them their first top ten hit in Ame rica and catapulted them to the world stage and rock stardom. They also g ave us two of rock’s most recognizable anthems\, We Will Rock You\, em>and We Are the Champions.
\nNow\, here is your opportuni ty to relive the Queen phenomenon! Formed back in 1993\, Killer Q ueen has distinguished itself as the world’s foremost Queen tribu te show. Their first public concerts were at London University\, followin g in the footsteps of the original Queen who had played their first shows there 23 years earlier. By 1995\, they secured a residency in London’s We st End\, the first tribute band to do so\, and continued to grow both in t he UK and Europe\, culminating in winning the award for “Worldwide Best Tr ibute Band.” During their various careers\, the musicians have worked and recorded with a vast array of artists including Roger Taylor and Brian Ma y. Killer Queen was also selected by Sir Bob Geldof to r epresent Queen in a restaged tribute Live Aid concert.
\nKil ler Queen will take you back to the ‘70s and ‘80s as they re-crea te the charismatic and uncannily accurate renditions of Queen through appe arance\, sound and energy of the original stars that defined rock music. A uthentic costumes\, impeccable harmonies\, with lead singer Patric k Myers resurrecting Freddie Mercury both physically and vocally\ , all come together to give the audience the Queen “live in concert” exper ience.
